One of the most common questions I get asked is how I get six day new peanuts to hold this pose…
The answer? I don’t! For one (and more important), it’s not safe! Newborn safety should be the number one concern during any photo session! In addition, the likelihood that a newborn could actually hold this pose for long enough to capture a good shot is slim to none… So how is it done?
Meet, the composite shot.
Two images taken so that a parent’s hand is always on the baby. The images are then placed together in Photoshop and ta daaaaaa….. the classic pose that often becomes one of the favorites from the session. This is by far the most asked for pose and the one that always end up on those precious announcements.
Special thanks to seven day new Gunner Robert for being my model of the day…
